cooperation and active help of its citizens and local organizationsp and
WHEREAS in the pursuit of these aims, a very important threat to the well
of the village has-been, at least for the present time, removed by defeat of
House Bill 486 of the Illinois Legislature, and
WHEREAS the certain defeat of this bill has been in incalculably large measure
due to the untiring efforts of many Deerfield citizens and organizations and in
particular the Citizens' Conlittee for a Better Deerfield, the Deerfield Chamber ,
of Commerce, and the g roup known as the Deerfield Mothers, and
WHEREAS while many individuals worked zealously for the defeat of this bill, special
notiee.must beyond question be given to Mrs. Willard Loarie who knew what had to

personal time and effort, and with undeviating persistence and leadership,
