Unit #1 recommended approval of the Plat of Subdivision for Unit #1, Third Addition to Deerfield Park Subdivision. Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Peterson, th3 t the p.lat be approved, and signatures authorized, subject to a check of the school site. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Jaeger, Koss, Peterson, Petesch, Wehle (5) Nays: None (0) Veto Mallin Rezoning President Holmquist vetoed the ordinance rezoning the Mallin property at County Line Road and Waukegan Road to B -1 Neighborhood Business District (Ordinance 0- 58 -41), since restriictive covenants agreed to by Mr. Mallin had not been received. On motion by Trustee Koss, seconded by Trustee Peterson, tht meeting was adjourned to November 19, 1958 at 8:00 P.M. APP Villag resident Attest:' —Pt-C � Village Clerk November 19, 1958 The adjourned meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Wednesday, November 19, 1958 at 8 :00 P.M. The Clerk called the roll.and reported the following were Preset: G. Eldon Holmquist, Presid ent Joseph W. Brown Carl.J. Jaeger Joseph W. Koss Maurice C. Petesch Arno D. Wehle Absent: Harold L. Peterson and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Mr. Royce Owens, Village Manager, was also present. Trustee Wehle moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that reading of.the minutes of the November 12, 1958 regular meeting be dispensed with, and motion carried unanimously. Frost Building Permit Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that the Board authorize the issuance of the Bruce Frost Building Permit, 730 Waukegan Road, as recommended by the Building Commissioner. Carried unanimously. i 1 1 107 Ordinance - Variance Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, 1222 Parkside (0- 58 -57) that an ordinance be adopted granting a variance .from.the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of an attached garage within two feet of the side lot line at 1222 Parkside Lane, as recommended by the Board of Zoning Appeals. Adopted by the fol lowj'ng, vote: Ayes: Brown,.Jaeger, Koss, Petesch, Wehle (5) Nays: None (0) Ordinance - Zoning The Plan Commission recommended the adoption of Drainage Easements an ordinance relating to drainage ditch easements. .(0-58-58) Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Wehle, that the ordinance be adopted providing that drain- age ditch easements shall not be considered in computing minimum requirements for lot area, side, front and rear yards and intensity of lot use for buildings. Approve Scatterwood #2 Trustee.Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that the Plat of Scatterwood Subdivision Unit #2 be approved and signatures authorized, as recommended by the Plan Commission. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Koss, Petesch, Wehle (5) Nays: None (0). Award Bid Calcium Chloride Trustee Brown moved, seconded by Trustee Koss, Coy Lumber Co., that the bid of Coy Lumber Company be accepted for 7 Tons Calcium Chloride, Type 1, in 100 lb. bags in the amount of $350.00, subject to the approval of the State of Illinois, Division of Highways. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Koss, Petesch, Wehle (5) Nays: None (0) The meeting was recessed for five minutes, and reconvened by the President. President Holmquist stated the Board could not reach a decision on the Friestedt- Landis Subdivision #2, and would therefore delay action for one week in order to secure additional information. Proposals were tabled for further study, the award to be made at the November 26th adjourned meeting. The Village Clerk was instructed to return the unopended bid of Drabant and Engelhardt, Liberty- ville, which was received too late for consideration. Mrs. Willard Loarie, Oxford Road, requested that the garage property be screened by plantings and /or fencing from adjoining property zoned reisdential,, as discussed at the time the Village garage was constructed. The Board will investigate. Police Vacancy- Trustee Petesch moved, seconded by Trustee Wehle, that the Board of Police Commissiore rs be advised that a vacancy exists on the Police Department, and the necessary action be taken to -hire an additional police officer.
