Resolution In Support Of Stronger Together
Deerfield
WHEREAS, Stronger Together Deerfield is a collaborative, community -wide initiative bringing together
local government, schools, municipal and civic organizations, businesses, nonprofits and other partners to
promote well-being, resilience, and connection for all residents; and
WHEREAS, the initiative aims to address growing concerns about youth mental health, social connection,
digital balance and resilience through shared messaging, coordinated efforts and community
engagement; and
WHEREAS, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 recognizes that fostering emotional resilience, social skills
and academic success in our young people requires a united, community -wide approach; and
WHEREAS, we believe that by working together across sectors, we can create stronger connections and
better support for children, families and the broader Deerfield community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village of Deerfield affirms its support for the Stronger
Together Deerfield initiative and commits to taking the following actions to help advance its goals:
1. Promote Stronger Together Deerfield messaging across all Village communication
channels — Share initiative updates and educational content through the Village website,
newsletters, social media and community alerts to increase visibility and community
engagement on a monthly basis.
2. Use Village events as platforms for awareness and connection — Incorporate Stronger
Together Deerfield resources and activities into existing community gatherings such as the
Deerfield Farmers Market, Harvest Fest, Winter Celebration and Food Truck Wednesdays
creating opportunities for residents to learn and engage.
3. Welcome and educate new residents — Integrate information about Stronger Together
Deerfield into the Village's welcome packets and website resources to help all Village residents
understand how they can support youth well-being from the start.
4. Collaborate with community partners to align and amplify efforts — Coordinate with
schools, the library, park district, law enforcement and local organizations to ensure consistent
messaging and share resources that support youth and families.

5. Model community values through policy and practice — Explore and implement
opportunities to integrate youth and family well-being into Village planning, public space
design and local ordinances, reinforcing Deerfield's commitment to resilience, safety and
belonging.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village of Deerfield will work in partnership with other Stronger
Together Deerfield participants to share resources, coordinate communications and contribute to a unified
community that promotes resilience, wellness and belonging.
