RESOLUTION NO. R-25-11
A RESOLUTION APPROVING MOTOR FUEL TAX EXPENDITURES
FOR THE HAZEL AVENUE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Village desires to fully reconstruct the roadway and improvements
of Village -owned utilities, including, but not limited to, all water main and water services,
storm sewer, sidewalk widening and ADA improvement, and the full replacement of roadway
and curbs related to the Hazel Avenue Infrastructure Project ("Project'); and
WHEREAS, the Village has budgeted $1,300,000 in Motor Fuel Tax funds (`WFT
Funds') for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that appropriating the MFT Funds for
the Project will serve and be in the best interest of the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT. RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION ONE: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are incorporated into, and
made a part of, this Resolution as findings of the Village Board.
SECTION TWO: APPROVAL OF APPROPRIATION. The Village Board hereby
approves the appropriation of the MFT Funds for the Project.
SECTION THREE: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution will be in full force and
effect upon its passage and approval by a majority of the members of the Village Board.

1. That the proposed improvement shall consist of
The proposed improvements consist of the roadway reconstruction of Hazel Avenue from Wilmot Road to
Waukegan Road. Also included in the scope of the project improvements to the storm sewer system, pedestrian
laccommodations and upgrades, and water main improvements.
2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of one million three hundred thousand

said section from the Local Public Agency's allotment of Motor Fuel Tax funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk is hereby directed to transmit four (4) certified originals of this resolution to the district office
