RESOLUTION NO. 2024- R-24-59
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A BACKUP GENERATOR
FOR 465 ELM STREET (PUBLIC WORKS)
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield ("Village') is a home rule municipality in
accordance with Article VII, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970;
and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to purchase a replacement backup generator for 465
Elm Street (Public Works) ("Purchase'); and
WHEREAS, the Village solicited a proposal from a qualified firm to complete the
Services ("quotation'); and
WHEREAS, the Village received one quotation to provide the Purchase of
equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village has determined that the proposal submitted by Lionheart-
Critical Power Specialists of Huntley, Illinois ("Vendor's, provided a proposal meets the
needs of the Village based on staff evaluation; and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to approve the purchase of equipment from the
vendor; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees have determined that approval of the
purchase from Vendor will serve and be in the best interest of the Village and its residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: RECITALS. The Village Board hereby adopts the foregoing recitals
as its findings, as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT. The Purchase by the Village is
hereby approved, and is acceptable to the Village Manger and the Village Attorney.
SECTION 3: AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT. The Mayor and
the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest, on behalf of the
Village, the final Purchase upon receipt by the Village Clerk of at least one original copy of
the quotation executed by vendor; provided, however, that if the executed copy of the final
quotation is not received by the Village Clerk within 60 days after the effective date of this
Resolution, then this authority to execute and attest will, at the option of the Mayor and
Board of Trustees, be null and void.
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
