RESOLUTION NO. R-24-50
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF MINUTES OF CERTAIN
CLOSED MEETINGS OF THE VILLAGE BOARD
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Illinois Open Meetings Act, 5 ILCS 120/1 et seq. ('Act'
the Village Board has, from time to time, conducted meetings that that were closed to the
public pursuant to the Act (collectively, the "Closed Meetings'; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Act, the Village Board must keep and approve written
minutes of all Closed meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board desires to approve certain closed session minutes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.06(d) of the Act, the Village Board has also
conducted its twice -annual review of all written minutes of the Closed Meetings of the Village
Board; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that the written minutes of Closed
Meetings that are currently confidential should remain confidential;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are incorporated into, and made a
part of, this Resolution of the findings of the Village Board.
SECTION 2: APPROVAL OF DRAFT CLOSED SESSION MEETING
MINUTES. The Village Board has reviewed the following set of draft closed session
meeting minutes and determined the following draft meeting minutes shall be approved.
October 16, 2023
November 6, 2023
November 20, 2023
February 20, 2024
March 18, 2024
May 6, 2024
SECTION 3: DETERMINATION OF CONFIDENTIALITY. The Village Board
has determined that a need for confidentiality still exists with respect to all closed session
minutes that have not been previously authorized to be made available for public inspection,
and those closed session minutes shall remain confidential
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution will be in full force and effect
upon its passage and approval by a majority of the members of the Village Board.
