ORDINANCE NO. 0 -75- 16
AN ORDINANCE REVISING AND SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
BUDGET FOR THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR MAY 1, 1974 TO APRIL 30, 1975
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 0- 74 -26, adopted on April 29, 1974, the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield did adopt an
Annual Budget for the fiscal year from May 1, 1974 to April 30, 1975; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 0- 74 -27, adopted on April 29, 1974, the
President and Board of Trustees levied taxes for corporate purposes for the
fiscal year from May 1, 1974 to-April 30, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees did authorize the
installation of a certain sanitary sewer along Lake -Cook Road to serve
certain properties within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the above- described installation creates the need for
additional expenditures by the Village which were not provided for in the
said Annual Budget; and
WHEREAS, it, therefore, becomes necessary to revise and supple-
ment said Annual Budget to provide for expenditures in addition to those
provided for in said Annual Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That that portion of the Annual Budget for the
ONE: Village of Deerfield for the fiscal year beginning
May 1, 1974, and ending April 30, 1975, pertaining
to revenues and expenditures of Federal Revenue Sharing funds is 'hereby
revised and supplemented by substituting the attached Budget Summary
and Account pages in lieu of the corresponding pages in the Annual Budget
heretofore adopted, in accordance with the revised Revenue and Expenditures
sheets of said Budget which are attached hereto and made a part of this
Ordinance.

SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and

as provided by law.

Authorized Use of Funds
1. Ordinary and necessary maintenance and operating expenses
for:
A. Public Safety (including law enforcement fire
protection and building code enforcement]
B. Environmental protection (including sewage disposal,
sanitation, and pollution abatement)
C: Public transportation (including transit systems
and street and roads)
D. Health
E. Recreation
F. Libraries
G. Social services for the poor or aged
H. Financial administration
2. Ordinary and necessary capital expenditures authorized
by law.

*Replacement and repair of the Lake Cook Briar4vood Vista sanitary sewer.
None of these funds have been committed by Board Action. The
Board has directed the thinking of the staff toward utilizing
these funds for a portion of the purchase of land known as
"the brickyards" or for expansion of space for the Police Depart-
ment.
The Village has to this point spent or obligated the following
;: evenue Sharing funds:
1. Right -of -way acquisition for Park Avenue Relocation -- $56,376
2. Contribution toward the purchase of a trauma unit by the
Deerfield- Bannockburn Fire Prevention District -- $15,000
