ORDINANCE NO. 0 - 35 - 57
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, that:
1. Section I of ordinance #200, entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLASSIFYING
AND GRADING POSITIONS IN THE VILLAGE OFIEERFIELD AND ESTABLISHING CORRES-
PONDING SALARY RANGES TO BE PAID THESE POSITIONS" is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section I. Positions Established: All offices and employments of the
Village of Deerfield, except those of Village Manager, Village Engineer,
Superintendent of .Public Works, Deputy Treasurer - Collector, Collector,
Treasurer, Village Clerk, Police Chief, President and Trustees, shall be
classified and graded as follows; and are herewith made positions of employ-
ment within the Village service of the Village of Deerfield.

Clerk - Transcriptionist 23
Secretary - Transcriptionist 24

2. Section VII of the said ordinance is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section VII. Salaries Ungraded and Unclassified Positions: The annual
salaries of the following ungraded and unclassified positions shall be as
follows:
Village Manager $ 9,000
Village Engineer 71400
Deputy Treasurer- Collector 5,820
Village Clerk 720
Collector $ 3,480
PoliceChief 7,200
Fire Marshal 720
Health Officer 11.480
Sewage Treatment Plant Operator 840
Crossing Guards - Special Policemen 1.50 per hour
Casual Labor 1.71 - 2.01 per hour
All rates of pay shall be computed on the basis of 24 pay periods per
year."
The effective date of the resulting salary increases shall be
July 1, 1957, except that all calssified Police Officers shall be advanced
one step as a salary adjustment in the new range established by this
ordinance.
l� This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.
