O-57-331 ORDINANCE NO,._O - 33 - 57 BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield that: Section 1. Creation. There shall be a Police Pension Board consisting of five members. Of these members,•,two shall be appointed by the President, serving a term of two years each; two shall be elected from the regular police force of the Village, and one shall be elected from the beneficiaries of the pension. Each member shall serve for two years and elected members shall be selected in the manner provided by law. (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Parl 893.). Provided that the terms of the members of the Police Pension Fund first appointed. shall commence on the second Tuesday of May following the adoption of this ordinance. Section 2. Duties. It shall be the duty of the members of the Police Pension Board to manage, invest, and control the police pension fund and all moneys pertaining thereto in the manner provided by statute and to pay beneficiaries as provided by law. Section 3. Funds. There shall be deposited in the Police Pension Fund the proceeds of any special tax levy for pension fund purposes; three fourths of all money received for dog licenses; 10% of all fines received for violation of ordinances; all money received from fines imposed upon members of the Police Department for a violation of rules or regulations; all rewards given or paid to policemen except such as may be excepted by the Board of Trustees of the Police Pension Fund; 5% per month which shall be deducted from the salary of each policeman subject tothe Pe_psion Fund; and 10% of all business license fees collected by the Village.
