AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #91, CREATING
THE OFFICE OF VILLAGE MANAGER, AND ESTABLISHING
THE DUTIES THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, that:
Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 91, adopted October 27, 1952
be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 5. The Village Manager shall be the purchasing agent for all
Departments of the Village. Expenditures up to Fifty Dollars-450-00)
for miscellaneous items, office supplies, and equipment, and emergency
expenditures up to Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) with the approval of
the Chairman of the Committee concerned,_ may be made by him without
preliminary approval by the Board. Any emergency expenditure above
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) shall be approved by the President and
four (k) Trustees, and all purchases are subject to ratification by the
Board of Trustees and to the limitations imposed by the adoption of a
budget or special appropriation."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as provided by law.
