ORDINANCEONO:, , 223 ANNEXATION
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY
OR TERRITORY IN SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 43
NORTH, RANGE 12, EAST OF'THE THIRD PRIN-
CIPAL MERIDIAN, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
TO THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD IN THE COUNTY
OF LAKE AND STATE OF ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, all of the owners of record and all of the electors
residing in the territory legally described as follows:.
The%North 103 feet of the South 406 feet of the
North 1032 feet of the East 233 feet of the,'-South
East quarter of the North East quarter of Section
30, Township 43 North, Range 12, East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Lake County, Illinois (re-
serving therefrom a strip of land 10 feet wide
along the North-side of said described property for
road easement), `
have executed a petition requesting the annexation of the above described
territory to the Village of Deerfield in the County of Lake and State of
Illinois, which said petition has been duly filed with the municipal clerk
of 'the Village of Deerfield as required by the Statutes in such case made
and provided; and
WHEREAS, the said petition states that the territory hereinabove
described is not within the corporate limits of any municipality and that
said territory is contiguous to the Village of Deerfield and that the
petitioners include all of the owners of record of all of the land within
said territory and also includes all of the electors residing upon all of
said territory and said petition has been duly made under oath of the
petitioner therein; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield in regular
meeting duly convened have examined the said petition and the facts therein
stated and hereinabove recited and have found the said facts to be true and
in proper form and substances and conforming to the provisions of the Statutes
in such case made and provided; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees in said meeting has determined that the
above described territory is properly submitted to the municipal authorities
of the Village of Deerfield for the prupse of annexation according to the
provisions of the Statutes in such case made and provided.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD IN THE COUNTY OF LAKE AND TH& STATE
OF ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That the property or territory described as follows:
The North 103 feet of the South 406 feet of the North
1032 feet of the East 233 feet of the South East quarter
of the North East quarter of Section 30, Township 43
North, Range 12, East of the Third Principal Meridian
in Lake County, Illinois (reserving therefrom a strip
of land 10 feet wide along the North side of said
described property for road easement)
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Deerfield in the
County of Lake and State of Illinois.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be in Ball force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
SECTION 3. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield in
the County of Lake and State of Illinois be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to file and record a certified copy of this ordinance to-
gether with an accurate map of the above described annexed territory
with the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois.

ORDINANCE NO. 223
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield that:
Section
1.
It shall
be unlawful
to drive
any vehicle into the
intersection
of
Greenwood
Avenue with
Chestnut
Street and Park A,,enue
without first bringing such vehicle to a full stop within ten (10) feet
of such intersection. The Village Manager shall post or cause to be
posted signs indicating the provisions of this section.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on the
east side of Rosemary Terrace at an time between the hours of 9 A.M.

et and 12:30 P.M. on a Sunday.
U Section 3. It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Rosemary
Terrace between Orchard Street and Deerfield Road excepting in a southerly
direction between the hours of 9 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. on a Sunday.
Section 4. Ordinance #139, adopted July 12, 1954, is hereby repealed.
Any person firm or corporation violating any of the, provisions of this
ordinance shall be fined not less than FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00) nor more than
TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00).
