WHEREAS the question of amending the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield was previously referred to the Plan Commission to
consider the matter and make its recommendations as provided by statute,
and the said Commission held a Public Haring on-the question on
September 22, 1955, after due publication of notice, and made its
recommendation to this Village Board:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, that:
1. The following described area is hereby reclassified from its
present classification as an "R-5" Single Family Residence to "R -2"
Single Family Residence:
That part of Brookside Subdivision east of the West Fork of the North
Branch of the Chicago River; Beginning at the N.W. Corner of the S2 of the
N.E.J of Sec. 32; thence East along. the North line thereof 230.05' to the
N.W. Corner of Lot 25, Wm. F. Plagge's 2nd Subdivision; thence S.E.'ly
along the S.W.'ly line of said Lot 25 to the S.W. Corner -of Lot 2.5 for a
distance of 203.37' (said line being the center of the ditch) to the Place
of Beginning; thence East along the S. line of said Subdivision 1692.77'
to the S.E. Corner of Lot 1 in said Subdivision; thence South along the
East line of said Lot 1 extended, South for a distance of 69.64'; thence
East parallel to the North Line of said 2 quarter section 102.4'; thence
South parallel to the West line of Grand Ave. (Elm St.) 454.5' to a
point which is 709.5' south of the said North line of said half i section;
thence west along a line parallel to the North line of said half i section
and 709.5' south therefrom for a distance of 1550' more or less to the
center line of the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River;
thence N.W.'ly along said center line of said West Fork to the Place of
Beginning, all part of the North 709.5' of the S2 of the N.E.4 of Sec. 32,
T.43N., R.12 E. of the 3rd P.M.
2. The zoning map of the Village is hereby amended to conform to
this change.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
