WHEREAS, the Volunteer Fire Department of the Deerfield- Bannocluburn
Fire Protection District has achieved an outstanding record in the preservation
of life and property; and
WHEREAS, increased population and additional residential, commercial
and industrial construction in the District have created a need for more
services and facilities than can be financed by present revenues; and
WHEREAS, fire insurance rates are, in great measure, determined by
the adequacy of the personnel and equipment available to the District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Deerfield - Bannockburn
Fire Protection District, in carrying out its responsibilities to the
'residents of the District, has determined that'additional funds are necessary,
and to that end has called a Special Election to be held on August 27, 1966,
to vote on propositions to increase the tax rate for operational expenses
and to issue bonds for the purchase of equipment and enlargement of the
Fire Station:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield supports the Board of Fire Commissioners
of the Deerfield - Bannockburn Fire Protection District in its plans for the
improvement and expansion of service and facilities..
