O-55-1915 G 0 Iq _ 5-�;' ORDINANCE NO. A AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING POSITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, AND ESTABLISHING CORRESPONDING SALARY RANGES TO BE PAID THESE POSITIONS. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, that: Section 1. Positions Established: The positions listed in Schedule I, hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and are herewith made positions of employment within the Village service of the Village of Deerfield, Section 2. Salary Ranges: The salary ranges as set forth in Schedule II, hereby made a part of this ordinance, shall be the ranges of salaries to be paid to the positions of emplyment in the Village of Deerfield; and the ranges are hereby assigned to the positions of employment as set forth in Schedule I. Secti6H 3. Increases: Increases within a salary range shall be m ade on the basis of merit and service. The first increase shall be made at the end of three months; the second increase at the end of six months of employment; and the third increase after twelve months of employment. At not less than six months intervals, the remaining steps may be reviewed. and increases authorized. The Village Manager shall have the authority to effectuate salary increases within the established salary range and at the steps provided. Section 4. Full Time Compensation:_ The salaries established by this ordinance are gross compensation for full time employment. Temporary or part -time personnel shall be paid on an hourly basis. Such hourly rate to be determined by dividing the annual salary by the usual number of hours worked each week by that Mass of employee multiplied by.52. Hourly rates shall be corrected to the next lowest i cent. Salaries contained in the schedule do not include expenses or uniform allowances. Section 5. Amendments: The Village Board may from time to time amend the salary ranges, and the designation of positions to- ranges upon the recommendation of the Village Manager. Section 6. Positions Excepted: All employees of the Village of Deer- field shall be included within the salary plan except elected officials of the Village of Deerfield, the Village Mara ger, Treasurer= Collector, and the Superintendent of Public forks. Section 7. Personnal Rules: The Village Manager shall make, or cause to be made, a comprehensive rules for the administration of the salary plan, and conduct of personnel employed by the Village, for adoption by the Village Board. Section 8. Effective Date: The effective date of the resulting salary increases, for monthly salaried personnal, shall be May 1, 1955. For hourly paid personnel, the effective date of the salary increases shall be August 1, 1955. Passed this 25th day of July, 1955.
