1955 ELECTION ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield, that:
Section 1. There shall be a regular election of officers in
the Village on the nineteenth day of April, 1955.
Section 2. At such election, there shall be elected three trustees
for a four —year term, one to fill a vacancy for two years, and a
police magistrate. The ballot to be used in such election shall be
in the form prescribed by statute, and it sM ll'be the duty of the
village clerk to see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the
election, and to cause a sample of such ballot to be published prior.
to the day of election in a newspaper of general circulation published
in the villlage, and to cause to be provided the necessary election
supplies for each voting district or precinct.
Section 3. At least fifteen (15) but not more than thirty (30)
days before the election, the clerk shall cause to be published in
such newspaper a notice of election, which shall be substantially as
follows:
" NOTICE OF ELECTION.
"On the nineteenth day of April, 1955 there will be a regular
election in the Village of Deerfield to elect three trustees
for a four year term, one to fill a vacancy for two years, and
a police magistrate.
"The precincts and polling places shall be as follows:
11Precinct_.No.'1.. ',:All that .part. of':the Villages of Deerfield; lying
north of the center line of Deerfield Road shall be Precinct No. 1
with the polling place at the West Deerfield Township Hall, 602
Deerfield Road, Deerfield, Illinois.
'.a!'Pr6cinct No. 2. All that part of the Village of Deerfield lying
south of the center line of Deerfield Road shall be Precinct No. 2.
The polling place for Precinct No. 2 shall be the Deerfield Village
Hall, 711 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois.
"The polls shall be open from 6 A.M. to 5 P.M., Central Standard
Time.

Section 4. For the purpose of such election, there shall be two
precincts, as follows:
All that part of the Village of Deerfield lying north of the center
line of Deerfield Road shall be Precinct No. 1, with the polling place at
the West Deerfield Township Hall, 602 Deerfield Road, Deerfield, Illinois.
All that part of the Village of Deerfield lying south of the center
line of Deerfield Road shall be Precinct No.2, with the polling place
at the Deerfield Village Hall, 711 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois.
Section 5. The judges and clerks of election shall be such as
shall be hereafter designated by the President and Board of Trustees to
serve as election officials.
Section 6. 1'he said election and all metters pertaining thereto
shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by statute for the conduct
of a regular election for villagecofficers.
