GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield that:
1. The question of granting the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, a
religious corporation, the right to erect, maintain and use churches, and
accessory buildings used for religious teaching on the premises,hereinafter
described as a conditional use under the terms of the zoning Ordinance
of the Village of Deerfield was referred to the Plan Commission, and the
Plan Commission previously held a public hearing on the question, after due
public notice of such hearing as provided by ordinance, and made its recom-

t mendations to this Board of Trustees:
2. The Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church is a religious corporation
which has acquired a tract of land approximately 8 acres more or less,
hereinafter described, presently zoned for single family residence use and
located at the intersection of Deerfield Road with the water course lying
on the easterly boundary of the Village; the use of these premises, excepting
for the easterly seventy (70) feet thereof for a church and accessory buildings
for religious purposes would have no harmful effect on neighboring property
and would be of benefit to the neighboring property and the residents of
Deerfield generally.
3. The said Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church is hereby granted the
right to use for churches and accessory buildings used for religious
teaching all but the easterly seventy (70) feet of the following described
property:
That part of the east half of the southeast quarter of the south east
quarter of section 28, Township 43 north, range 12, east of the 3rd P.M.
lying north of the north line of the public highway known as Highland Park
Deerfield Road, as dedicated by Document 217791, and lying west of the west
line of the Drainage Canal, as condemned by proceeding in the County Court,
Case 5303, in Lake County, Illinois.
