ORDINANCE NO. 114
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE FIVE FOOT ALLEY BETWEEN
LOTS 8 AND 9 IN BRIERHILL SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, a plat of Brierhill Subdivision was recorded as Document No. 222755,
in book L of plats, page 65, in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of the
County of Lake, Waukegan, Illinois, wherein certain streets and alleys were
dedicated as public property, and
WHEREAS, at the time of said dedication,- the Village of Deerfield approved
said plat and intended to accept all dedications made to the various streets
and alleys by said plat, and
WHEREAS, the Village approval of said plat without the Village using said
public ways is questionable as an acceptance of said public ways, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield intends to remove the ambiguity of the
approval of said plat,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois,
Section 1. The Village of Deerfield hereby expressly acceptedthe dedication
of the five foot public alley way located between lots 8 and 9 in Brierhill,
A Subdivision of the West half of the East half of the North East quarter_
(except the North 8.10 chains thereofO and the North 594.60 feet of the East
60 feet of the East half of the West half of the North East quarter of Section
33, Township 43 North, Range 12, East of the 3rd P.M., Lake County, Illinois,
as shown on the plat recorded as Document No. 222755, in book L of plats,
page65, in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds, of the County of Lake, Waukegan,
Illinois.
Section 2. This ordinance.shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and posting as required by law.
