BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND D OF TRUSTEES OF THE VIIJ AGE OF
• DIOWIELD that the following ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted that:
1. A ZONING COMMISSION be appointed by the President with the consent
of the Board of Trustees, said Zoning Commission to consist of nine (9)
members, who are residents of the Village of Deerfield.
2. That it Zk� be the duty of said ring Commission to hear all

matters concerning proposed zoning ap €�g to the adoption of the
village plan, and shall make its findings and recommendations to the Board
® of Trustees for final determination.

3. Said Zoning Commission shall function and remain in existence until,
the adoption of the village plan, at which time its tenure shall automatically
terminate, or until official. action of the Board of Trustees dissolving said
commission.
4. Each member of said Zoning Commission shall be appointed for the
• period of existence of said Commission or unless removed by action of the
Board of Trustees, in which case he shall hold office until his successor is
appointed and qualified.
5. That a chairman and vice "chairman shall be elected by the nine (9)
members comprising said commission. The chairman shall preside at the
meetings of the commission and direct its functions.. In the absence of the
chairman, the vicea- chaizman shall preside and exercise all the powers of the
chairman.
6. Five members of said commission shall constitute a quorum. Where
a quorum is present, official action of the Commission shall be determined
by a majority of the members present.
