AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD.. LAKE
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, WITH RESPECT TO WATER
BILLS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the General Municipal Code of the Village
of Deerfield, passed and approved under date of January 21, 1946,
be, and the same is hereby, amended as follows:
That Chapter 18, Water, Article III, Meters:
Sections 387, Rates, and 389, Bills, be amended and as amended
shall be and read as follows:
11387 Rates.) All property upon which any building has
been or may hereafter be erected having a connection
with any mains or pipes which may hereafter be constructed
and used in conjunction with the water system hereinbefore
provided for, shall pay therefor the following rates per
month per 100 cubic feet. Where bills cover more than one
month the amount used monthly shall be determined for
discount purpose by dividing the total cubic feet used by
the number of months the bill covers.

The discount above mentioned shall be allowed only on
bills paid on or before the 22nd day of the month in which
the bills are sent out.
389 Bills.) Bills for water shall be dated and sent out at
such times as the Board of Trustees may from time to time
direct. All water bills must be paid within ten days after
the bills are put in the mail."
