AN ORDINANCE providing for Village
DATUM and Street GradeB of the Village of
Deerfield, County of Lake State of Illinois .
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
the Board of Trustees of the Village of,
Deerfield
That the basis or Datum of,the Village
shall be measured from thB plarx of low
water of Lake Michigan in the year. A.D.. 1847
as established by the Trustees of the Illinois
and Michigan Canal . and is now known as the
Chicago City Datum 0 the name being and is
hereby adopted as the Village Datum of
Deerfield
That the Standard Elevation of the notch
cut in the Water Table at the'Northeast
corner of the three story brick building at the
Southwest corner of Deerfield and Lincoln
Avenues'o-chall be and is hereby established
at 112.496 feet above Datum 0 Which elevation
shall be the bench from which all Village
grades and benches shall be 'established
Street grades shall be established
along the curb lines of the street and
shall run in a straight line from the
established-tWade, at any street inter-
section toi'the established grade at the
intersection of the next street thereto
.or to any established street-grade between"
the intersection of"said streets
The term intersection of•streets
shall
be taken as the intersection of curb line
and curb line produced at all intersections
and abuting streets
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage
