MATTHEWS Mrs. Catherine Price Village Clerk Deerfield, Ill. Dear Mrs. Price: October 6, 1958 TELEPHONE CENTRAL 6 -3800 I am enclosing an ordinance to amend the zoning ordi- nance so as to exclude from computation of area require- ments any part of a lot covered by an easement in connec- tion with the drainage ditch. I think the public notice could simply state that the hear- ing is held to consider a proposed amendment as follows - and then follow with a copy of the proposed amendment ver- batim. A similar amendment could be added to Ordinance No.169, the subdivision ordinance, but no public hearing would be needed on it. I think the subdivision ordinance could be amended before the zoning amendment is enacted. The policy of adopting this amendment is of course entirely up to the Board of Trustees.
