Section 3. DOGS V`JITHOUT COLLAR AND TAG A NUISMICE. -- • Every dog licensed as provided in this chapter shall at all times have a collar upon its neck with the metal tag above described se- eurely fastened thereto, and any dog found within said village with- out a tag upon its neck, as provided in this chapter, shall be deerrd f 1. and held to be a nuisance , and shall be disposed o f an provided it this chapter. i Section 4. DOG - CATCHER -- MUM IMPCUNDED DOGS DESTROYED - -DOG. CATCHER'S FEi. -- It shall be the duty of the Village ?Marshal nd k all policemen and all other persons authorized' or appointed to citeh dogs to catch and impound in such pound as said Village Marshal;may direct, any dog found within said village not having .a- collar'zpon, its neck and one of said tags attached thereto, which shall have r 5 t 1 been furnished by the Village Clerk for that year,. and should/ any . ) t , such dog not be redeemed within three days after the same shall have been impounded, it is hereby made the duty of the persot in A r charge of such pound where said dog may be impounded, to caul® such dog to be destroyed. The Village Marshal, or any other pe "son au- thorized to catch dogs, shall receive a fee } of one dollar for every dog taken.. up and impounded by him, such fe© to be paid from the ` general fund of the city, and no other compensation shall be paid for such services. 179, Section 5. HOW Iti'POUNDED DOGS FaMEE1[ID. -- Any dog impounded under the provision of this. chapter may be redeemed at any time when such dog may be impounded upon payment of one dollar, and a further fee of twenty -five cents per day for each day such dog may have been impounded, upon payment, of which said dog may be released, which sum shall be by the person securing the same paid to the Village Clerk and by him paid into the treasury of said village. Section 6. MOVING COLLAR AND TAG. -- No person shall remove or take away the collar or check from any dog, nor entice or decoy any dog out of any house or enclosed lot, or from without the village limits to within the village for the purpose of impounding such dog,.; provided, however, that when any dog shall be at large within the village which has not been licensed for that year, and to which may be attached a check or.tag for any preceding ,year, the Village, Constable or any policeman may remove from such dog such check or t ag . Section 70 DANGEROUS DOGS RUNNING AT TlAHGE -- PENALTY. -- Vhenever danger from hydrophobia shall be deemed -to exist within said village, the President may by proclamation or posting notice notify all persons owning or keeping dogs to confine' the same or securely muzzle them for such tirre as .may be designated in the proc- lamation or notice, and any dog running at large in violation of this section shall be•deemed a public nuisance, and it shall be the duty of the Village Uarshal and of any policeman of the village to cause all such dogs to be taken up, impounded and disposed of as provided in this chapter. Section 8. PMTALTY. - -. Any owner or keeper of a fierce or dan- gerous dog who shall permit or allow the-same to run at large, wheth- `er licensed or otherwise, as aforesaid, or not to the danger, an noyance or injury of any person within the village, shall be subject ICU to a penalty of not less than $5 for the first offense, and to, fur - then penalty of not less than t10, not more than $50, for each subsequent offense, and upon second conviction the Village Marshal or any police officer may destroy such dog or dogs. Section 9.
