AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIWG FOR THE SUBMISSION
TO THE VOTERS OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD,
LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, A GENERAL ELECTION
FOR CERTAIN OFFICES OF THE SAID VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, AND THE QUESTION "SHALL THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD,.ILLINOIS BE INCLUDED
WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF AN ACT CREATING
THE ILLINOIS !MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND ?" TO
BE HELD IN SAID VILLAGE ON THE 19th DAY OF
APRIL, 1949
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION l: That a general election be held in the
Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, and is hereby
called to be held on the 19th day of April, 1949 between the
hours of six o'clock in the morning and five o'clock in the
afternoon of said day for the following purposes:
(a) For the election of a President of the Village
Board of Trustees, three (3) trustees, and Village Clerk of
said Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois.
(b) For the submission to the voters of the Village
of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, the question "Shall the
Village of Deerfield, Illinois.Be Included within the Provisions
of an Act Creating the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund ?"
SECTION 2: That for the purposes of said election
within the corporate limits of said Village of Deerfield, the
following, shall be designated as the precincts and polling places:
PRECINCT No. 1. All of that part of the corporate
limits of said Village of Deerfield lying north of
Deerfield Road.
POLLING PLACE: West Deerfield Township Hall
602 Deerfield Road
Deerfield, Illinois
PRECINCT No.. 2. All of that part of the corporate
limits of said Village of Deerfield lying south of
Deerfield Road.
POLLING PLACE: Deerfield Village Hall
711 Waukegan Road
Deerfield, Illinois
SECTION 3: That for the said election, the following
named persons be, and they are hereby designated and appointed as
Judges and Clerks of said election:

to cause notice of said election to be given by publishing or
posting notice thereof not more than thirty (30) nor less than
fifteen (15) days in advance of the election, and by posting the
same at the polling places herein designated.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and approval.
