The regular r.eetin: of: the President and Board of Trasteec
of the Village of Deerfield was called to order b -r the President
Lincoln Pettis at 7 :30 P,.- 1:I.
Roll call- Present- Ender, Engstrom, Food, Labahn,-Toll.
Absent- Ooter=an.
The minutes of the regular meeting held October 6th, 1924
vie re read and approved.
Thd Committee appointed br the President at -our last reCu-
lar meeting reported that then had met with the School Board of
the Deerfield Grammar-School and the- agreed that the" would
pa-* x;25.00 per month if the Village of Deerfield raid the same
amount toward retaining an officer to guard the crossing at
Deerfield Avenue and ylaukegan Road.
Moved b -* Trustee -Hood and seconded b-* Trustee Ender that
the report be accepted and that the Village'of Deerfield pa-r
X25.00 per month and the School Board Of the Deerfield Grammar
School pa,,- .6-25.00 per -month toward retaining an officer to
guard the crossing at Deerfield Avenue" and ',laukegan Road for
three sessions, five da-ps a week while the pupils are going to
and.from the school.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- veas- Ender,
Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Toll. PTaes- None. Carried.
GARAGE FOR FTPR TRUCK.
Moved b-r Trustee Hood and seconded br' Trustee Labahn that
a committee of three be appointed b-r the President to confer
with the two .garages and with George Karch tosee what arrange-
ments can be made to house the fire engine for the winter
months. Carried.
The President appointed Trustee Labahn, Ender and Hood
to serve on this'committee."
Moved b-r Trustee Hood and seconded b-r Trustee Labahn that
the bill of Peter Leist for cutting thistles be allowed in full.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- veal- Ender,
Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Toll. 11aes- "1Tone. Carried.

President and Clerk be authorized-to sign change i.n Miss Jewett'a
Easement.

Moved b-r Trustee Toll and seconded br Trustee Engstrom that
the President and Clerk be authorized to approve and accept Plat
of J.S.Hovland's First Addition to Deerfield as presented and
platted.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- veas- Ender,
Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Toll. Naes- None. Carried,

Moved br Trustee Hood and seconded b" Trustee Engstrom that
the Clerk be instructed to draw a Village Warrant in favor of
Peter Pirsch & Sons Co. and one in favor of the International
Harvester Co. to pa-r the interest due them on notes for fire
engine and truck up to Januar" lot, 1925.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- Yeas- Ender,
Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Toll. Naes- None. Carried.
Moved b-* Trustee Engstrom and seconded b-r Trustee Toll that
the President appoint a committee of three to look into the mat-
_ ter of purchasing a fire -proof safe for the village records.
