A special meeting for the purpose of making settlements for easments along and upon certain properties to be used in constructing, maintaining and operating a sewerage system was called to order by the President Lincoln`Pettis of the Board -of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield at d P. M. Roll call Present- Ender, Engstrom, hood, Labahn, Osterman, Toll. Absent - 'None. •COND"MINATTON PROCEEDTNG ORDTNANCR. An ordinance authorizing the President of the Village of Deer- field together with the Village�Attornev to institute in the Countv Court of Lake County, Condemnation Proceedings for the purpose of . .obtaining the perpetual right ,privilege,and authority to construct, renew, repair,operate and maintain a sewer and manholes in, under, along and through the land therein described was read. Moved by Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Hood that all contrary rules'be suspended and the ordinance placed on its passage. Upon roll call the following-vote was taken —Yeas- Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Ender, Osterman, Toll. Naes- None. Carried. Moved by Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Engstrom that the ordinance be passed as read. Upon roll call the following vote etas taken;- Yeas- Ender, Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Osterman, Toll. The minutes of the special meeting held September 22nd, 1924 .were read and approved. LTGHT ON POLE TN FRONT OF MASONIC TIFWPLE. Moved by Trustee Hood and seconded by Trustee Toll`author- izing.the Masonic Temple to install light on polo in front of their building, thev to-pay the Village of Deerfield "25.00 per vear for electricity consumed. Carried. - Moved by Trustee Hood and seconded -br Trustee Toll that the President appoint a committtee.of three(including himself) to ° .meet with the School Board of the Deerfield Grammar School to ascertain what steps should be taken to protect the crossing at Deerfield Avenue and 3aukegan Road while the pupils are going to and from the.school.
