The regular meeting of the President and Boarl Trustees of
the Village of Deerfield was called to order.bv. the President Lin -

Roll call : - Present - Ender, Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Osterman, _

The minutes of the regular meeting held July 7th,, 1924 and of
the adjourned meeting held Jul7r 11th, 1924 were read and approved.

Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded,bv Trustee.Labahn that
Perev McLaughlin be•hired for one.month,to serve.as Motorevele
police each day from 5 P. M. on, except Saturday and'Sundav, when
he is to put in full time at the rate C >75.00 per.month.

TAPS ON DR:IFIELD ROAD OUTIDF_ OF VILLAGE. LII'IITS.
Moved bar Trustee Hood and seconded by Trustee Labahn that the
chairman of the Water Committee be permitted to issue 15 - 5/8"
water taps on Deerfield Road in the limits of Highland Park,.in-
cluding the A. E. Mitchell tap.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken : = Yeas- Ender,
Engstrom, Hood, Labahn,•Osterman, Toll. Naes- None. Carried.
PERLITSSION GPiINTED O REED LA_NDTS TO HAVE WATER TURNED ON.
Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Hood that the
water be turned on to the Reed handis Subdivision, subject to the
rules and regulations of the Village of Deerfield and under the
control of the Water Committee.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken : - Yeas- Ender,
Engstrom, Hood, Labahn, Osterman, Toll. Naes—None. Carried.

REPORT ON WATER SITUATION.
• Moved by Trustee Hood and seconded by Trustee Labahn that
Trustee Engstrom's report on the water situation be laid on the
' table. Carried.`
PLAT OF THE KARCH SUBDIVISION `
• ;, Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Toll that
the Plat of Karch's Subdivision be approved and accepted as pre-
, AIN sented and platted.
• Upon roll call the following vote was taken : - Yeas- Ender,

PLAT OF BRANNIGAR BROS._WOODLAND PARK SUBDIVISION.
Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee-Engstrom
that Plat of Dedication File #1815 -109 and -File -1915 -114 to-
gether with Plat of Brannigar Bros. Woodland Park Subdivision
be approved -and accepted as presented and platted.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken : - Yeas- Ender,

REPAIR DAMAGE AT WAUKEGAN ROAD AND DE PTELD AVE %'
Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded.bv Trustee Toll that
Kapschull Davis.Co. be engaged to repair damage on Waukegan Road
near Deerfield Ave.
Upon roll call the following vote.was taken;- Yeas Ender,
Engstrom,'?.abahn, Osterman,.Toll, Hood not voting. Carried.
BRANNIGAR BROS. RE VEST ROAD SIGNS.
Brannigar Bros. requested permission to erect certain signs
directing traffic to their Woodland Park Subdivision. Moved by
Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Labahn to refer this request
to the Road and Bridge Committee.`Carried.
C. C. BRACKET BUILDING PERMIT REFUND.
A-communication_ from Co C. Bracket stating that he would not
be able to make use of�the Building Permit_which was issued to
him some time ago and requesting a refund for the amount paid -bar
him was • read.
Moved by Trustee Hood and seconded by Trustee Ender that
Building Permit be cancelled and money refunded to C.C.Brackett.
Carried.
'REQUEST FROM LAKE COUNTY CIVIC ASSOCIATTQ,N TO SPONSOR
A RU &LUX KLAN P1'.RADE.
The Lake County Civic Association asked permission to sponsor
a Ku Klux Klan Parade in the streets of.Deerfield. -
Moved br Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Labahn that
this permission be not granted to them.
