A.special meeting of the.President and..Board of Trustees of
the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President
Lincoln Pettis at 7 :30 P. M.
Roll call Present- Ender,- Osterman, Selig, Toll.
Absent - Warner.
ACCEPTANCE OF A PERMIT FROM TFTT •DEPARTT Ti:NT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
An' ordinance authorizing the President and Village Clerk,to_
file an acceptance of a permit.issued by the Department of Public
vlorks and Buildings, Division Of Waterways, dated February 14th,
1924, and numbered 6701 was read.
Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Osterman that
all contrary rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on its
passage. `
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- Yeas- Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll. Naes- None. t
Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Toll-that the
ordinance be passed as.read.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- Yeas- Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll. Naes- None. t e
Moved by Trustee Selig and seconded by Trustee Toll tontake
a recess for the purpose of convening as the Board of Local
Improvements. Carried.

After,recbnvening'.as, the Board of Tustees a resolution rev -
gerring the Ordinance for aJLocal Improvement, providing for the
construetion.of a system of sanitary and combined sewers,together
with'manholes, catchbasins, catchbasin connections,house and
catchbasin slants and Y branches and a sewage disposal plant and
all auxilliaries and appurtenances thereto,and outlet for the same
to a committee of this Board consisting of Trustees Toll, Ender
and Warner was read.
Roved b?T Trustee Toll-'and seconded by Trustee Osterman to
adopt resolution as read and include in the Publication of this.
'Recommendation, Estimate and Ordinance date of hearing-before the
Committee on Sewers and Drainage and that this committee have a
a hearing Saturdav April 7th; 1924 at 7 :30 P. L-1.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken;- Yeas - Ender,

The committee on Sewers and Drainage-reported a meeting called
to order at 7 :30 P. M'. as published`in the-Highland Park Press
and that there were no ob jections"to- 'the--proposed construction of
a system•of sanitary and combined-'sewers for -the Village of Deerfield.'
Moved by Trustee Warner and -'seconded bT Trustee Osterman that
the report be accepted. Carried

SECOND STREET.
An ordinance for a local improvement in the Village of Deer -
field, Lake County, I11 -, providing for the const=ction of a
combined storm water and sanitary sewer in Central Ave., and in
Second Street, together with manholes, catchbasins,catchbasin
connections, house and catchbasin slants and Y branches and all
appurtenances thereto, was read.
Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee Toll that
all contrary rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on its
passage.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken : - Yeas- Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll, Warner. Naes- None.
Moved by Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Selig that the
ordinance be passed as read.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken:- Yeas- Ender,

A communication from the North Shore Gas Co. requesting
permission to run a four inch gas main in Deerfield Road from
the Dorcas Home to the easterly limits of Deerfield was read.
Moved by Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Selig that
permission be granted to the North Shore Gas Co. to lay a gas
main three feet south of the pavement on the condition that
shoulder fill shall be thouroughly tamped so that all material
excavated shall be returned to the trench and the surface of
the shoulder left in practically the same condition as it was
before the commencement of the work.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas - Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll, Varner. Naes- None.'

Moved by Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Osterman that
the plat as presented be accepted.

Fred Schwab then presented a plat for a new subdivision.
