The regular meeting of- the - President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by President Lincoln
Pettis at 7 :30 P. M.
Roll call : - Present - .Osterman, Selig, Toll, Warner.
Absent - Ender.
Minutes of the.regular meeting held December 3rd, 1923 were
read and approved. .
Moved by Truste&bWarner and seconded by Trustee Toll to trans-
fer '800.00 from the General Fund to-Special Assessment #3 Fund
for the purpose of paying- -bonds now -due.
1. .-Upon roll call -the following vote was taken; Yeas- Osterman,
Selig, Toll, garner. Naes- -None. Trustee Ender has arrived.
TRAY: HUNTER & CO. SETTLFIAENT. .
Moved by Trustee Toll -and seconded.by Trustee Selig to accept
report of Trustee Warner with reference-to settlement with Gray,
Hunter & Co. and that a voucher for- fT250.00 be drawn and sent to
then in full settlement for services-rendered in the Auditors
Report as at Janua* 31st, -1923.
Upon roll call -the following vote was taken; Yeas - Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll, Warner. Naes— None. .

Moved by Trustee Toll -and seconded .by Trustee Selig that the
Finance Commitee be.authorized to -take care of the 1923 audit.

Osterman, Selig, Toll, Warner. Naes- None.

Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee Toll that the
application for :a 5/8" water tap on Deerfield Road•from Mr. Albert
E. Mitchell be laid on.the table. . t f
Upon roll call the following vote was taken; Yeas - Osterman,
Toll, Warner. Naes- Ender, Selig.
RIGHTS OF USERS OF WATER OUTSIDE: OF VILLAGE LIMITS.
Moved by Trustee Warner and,seconded by Trustee Toll that the
Attorney be instructedito get an opinion as to the right of the
users,of village water outside of the village limits. Carried.
ROSENSTONE+ SHANESY & LOD3ICK REnUEST FOR WATER TAP
Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by 'Trustee Ender that the
application from Rosenstone, Shanesy & Lodwick for a 5/8" water tap
in Deerfield Road be laid on the table.
Upon roll call'the following vote was taken; Yeas- Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll, Warner. Naes- None.
RECUEST FROM I2. CRANE_ TO DRAFT FIRE LIMITS ORDINANCE
Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Warner that the
,attornep be requested to, follow, out the instructions to draft an
ordinance establishing fire limits in the Village of Deerfield as
contained in a ' 'communication from Mr. Crane. Motion put and carried.
PEARE; GREELEY & HIJISEN RERUF.ST FOR SFTTLEMKNT.
Moved by Trustee Toll and seconded by Trustee Warner that the
communication from Pearce,- Greeley & Hansen requesting settlement
of their account be laid over to the next meeting. Carried.
Moved by Trustee. Warner . and' seconded by Trustee Selig that the
report of the Building Inspector be accepted with appreciation.Carried.
AN ORDINANCE NAMING THE STREETS AND AVENUES .LOCATED WITHIN
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIF.LD, LAKE COUNTY. ILLINOIS,'was read.
Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee Toll that all
contrary rules be sus- pended and -the ordinance placed on its passage.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken; Yeas- Ender,
Osterman, Selig, Toll, Warner. Naes- None.
Roved by :Trustee _Warner and seconded by Trustee Toll to pass
the ordinance as read.

SX ER_ OUTLET INTO THE DITCH OF UNION..DRAINAGE_ DISTRICT NO. 16
Tresolu ion authorizing the President*of the Board of Trustees
and the Village Clerk to submit to the Division of Waterways, Dept.
of Public 'Jorks and Buildings of the State of Illinois, plans and
specifications for, and to make application for permission for the
construction of a Sewer Outlet into the North Branch of the Chicago
River and to accept on behalf of the Village of Deerfield any per -
mits issued and the conditions attached thereto by the Division of
Waterways, Department of Public Works and Buildings of the State of
Illinois, was read. •
Moved by Trustee Tolland seconded by Trustee Selig to adopt,
the resolution as read.
