07/02/1923192 July 2nd,19230 The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order, by the President Lincoln' Pettis at 8 Poll* Roll -call; Present- 47arner, Selig ;Osterman ;To3.1,Ender.Absent -- None. Minutes of the regular meeting held on June 4th,1923 and of 4 the adjourned meeting held'on June llth ;1923, were read and approv -, e d. - I Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Osterman, that the attprney A.R.Walfe be requested to draw up an amendment to the Vehicle Ordinance covering horse -drawn vehicles. Carried. Mov d by Trustee Ender and seconded by Trustee Selig, that the Bridge Road and Committee be authorized to complete side -walk cross- ing in front of Ed. Selig's store. Carried. Motion made by Trustee,Warner and seconded by Trustee Ender'- that the Board-take a recess to hold a meeting of the Board of Loc- al Improvements. , f - On completion of the meeting of the Board of Local Improve- ments, the Board of Trustees reconvened. f A recommendation by the Board of Local Im rovements that a { payment of Two thousand seven hundred (02700.003 in bonds be is- sued to Kapsehall Davis Co. ;'Inc., on account of Second Estimate on Special Assessment #15 for paving Deerfield Avenue,wa8 read. Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee'Toll; that the President and Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield be and they are hereby directed to execute bonds in the sum of 02700.00; and to deliver the same to Kapschul -Davis Co.,1 in payment of work done on account of said Special Assessment #15,1 said bonds to be drawn against and payable out of Special Assessment #15 Fund. Upon roll -call the following vote was taken; Yeas- ;7arner,Selig Osterman ;Toll ;Ender. Naes "None. A recommendation of the Board of Local Improvements that bonds and warrants for the sum of One thousand five .hundred and ninty -four dollars and forty cents(O1594.40) be issued to William Babert; said bonds and warrants to be drawn against and payable out of Special Assessment #17 Fund ; was read. Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee-Ender': that the President and Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield be and the are hereby directed to execute bonds and warrants in the sum I 4594 of .40,,and to deliver the same to William Bubert in payment of work done on account of said Special Assessnent#l7; said bonds and warrants to be drawn against and pajrable out of Special Assess- ment #17 Fund. An Ordinance levying taxes for the Villa go of Deerfield, Lake County,Illinois, for the fiscal years 1923 and 1924; was read. Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee Ender, that all contrary rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed on its passage. Upon roll- call,'the following vote was taken;Yeas4larner,Selig, Osterman,Toll,and Ender. Naes -None. . Moved by Trustee Ender and seconded bjr Trustee Osterman; that the Ordinance be passed as read. Moved by Trustee Warner and seconded by Trustee Osterman; that the appointment of Henry Hoffman as Asst. Fire Marshall be ratified as read.
