Regular meeting of the Board of Trusteea of the Village of Deerfield
was called to order by the President B. H. Kress at 8 P.M.
Roll Call, Present: Haggie, O'Connor, Segert, Wessling.
Absent: Kreh, Stanger.
Uinutes of the regular meeting held on May 2 1921 were read and
approved.
The President appointed Chas (Cehrke ac Village water tapper.
Moved by Trustee Haggie and seconed by Trustee Segert that the appoint-
ment be confirmed.
Upon roll call .the following vote was taken,
Segert and Wessling, Naes, None.

Bid of Fred Selig and George Pettis amounting to $75.00 was read.
Moved by Trustee O'Connor and seconed by Truate° Segert':. that the
contract far the grading of Chestnut St from Grand Ave Bouth to the
Osterman subdivision be awarded to Fred Selig and Geo Pettis for the
aum of $75:00`., as per sketch presented. Carried.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken, Yeah, Haggie, O'Connor,
Segert and Wessling. Naea, None.
Moved by Trustee Segert and seconed by Trustee Wesaling that the Chicago
Telephone Co. be given permission to move-.guy wire and erect pole on
Chestnut St :i.
An ordinance appropriating the following sums for the fiscal year was
read.

The Village attorney was authorized to. write the Conway Co.
Letter frow Attorney Decker objedting to the Village running sewers in
the west ditch was read and ordered 'to. be placed on file.
Letter from Nashville, Chatt. and Tenn. R.R. on the ffig Wag signals was
read and the clerk was instructed to answer it.
