Special meeting of the Board of Trustees Village of Deerfield
called by the President W.A.Whiting to take action on the payment of W.G.
Hoy on account of thu watermain contract, also the purchasing of water-
. ,
meters and the appointment of a Village Tapper. THe meeting was called
Ao order by the President at I0 :30 A.M. at the town hall.,
Roll call - Present Whiting (President), Horenberger, Kress,
Pettis and Reay. Absent..- Fritsch and Reay.
Moved by Pettis and seconded by Reay that the Clerk be author-
ized to issue a voucher for $5000 in favor of W.G:Hoy.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas; Horenberger, Kress,
Pettis and Reay. Naes; None.

Moved by Pettis and seconded by Reay that the President W.A.
Whiting and the chairman of the street commitee Me. Kressbe authorized
by this Board to enter into a contract with the Badger Meter Mfg. Cc
for as many meters as they think it necessary to start with.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas; Horenberger, Kress,
Pettis and Reay. Naes; None.

Moved by Pettis and seconded by Reay that whoever is appointed vi
village tapper shall provide his own tapping machine and that he be held
responsible for any damage done to the watermain caused by his carelessness

or that of his employeep, amount of such damage to be determined by the
Board of Trusteesand that at any time the ViLage shall change tappers the
village shall pay for the machine at the original cost less five percent
for each year the machine has been in use for the village.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas; Horenberger`,Kress,
Pettis and Reay. Naes, None.
Moved by Reay and seconded by Kress that Lincoln Pettis be
appointed as Village Tapper.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas,Horenberger, Kress,
Pettis. and Reay. Naes, None.
Moved by Pettis and seconded by Horenberger that the President

and Mr. Kress be authorized to-buy as many Buffalo Boxes as they do
meters.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas, Horenberger
Kress, Pettis and Reay. Naes, None.'
