04/13/1937266 April 13, 1937. 'Z7 The regular meeting of the President and the Board of True - tees of the Village of Deerfield was called �o order by the C President Harry E. Wing at 7 :30 P. M. with the following respond- ing to roll call- Trustee McKillip, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Absent- Trustee Scribner. The minutes of the regular meeting held March 9, 1937 and of.the special meeting held March 16, 1937 were read and. approved. The President Harry E. Sting reported on the Central Avenue Grading Improvement for drainage and it wao.moved by Trustee Willman and seconded by Trustee Pottenger to accept the propos- al as made td us by the Division of Highways-of the State of Illinois for the improvement of Central Avenue, west of Union i Drainage Ditch #1, the total cost of same not to exceed Nine Hundred and Seventy ($975.00)Dollars one half of this amount to be paid by the Village of Deerfield out of our allotment of Motor Fuel Tax Funds. The motion was unanimously carried. Those.voting "Aye" being Trustee MoKillip, Palmer, Peterson. Pottenger and Willman. Those voting "Nay" being None. A letter from Mr. W. R. Mitchell of McGuire and Orr was read and which stated that during the night of March 29th someone threw red mahogany stain on the four sign - boards in their nBriarwoods Subdivision and suggesting that the Village of Deerfield offer a reward of at least $25.00 and that they would be willing to add.the same amount for the apprehension Qf the guilty ,party. ' A motion was made by Trustee Palmer which was duly sec- onded by Trustee Peterson to offer "a reward of $25.00 to apprehend the party or parties who damaged the sign - boards in nBriarwoodsn. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee McKillip, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None. Motion . carried. The following bills were read and it was moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Palmer that these bills be approved for-payment on receipt of proper funds. T Upon roll call the following vote was taken._ Yeas -.. Trustee McKillip, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None. Motion carried.
