The regular meeting _ of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield ryas called to order by
the President" Harry. E..Wing at _7:30 P. M.: with 'the following
trustees,present;, Palmer,. Peterson and Willman Absent -
Trustee" McXillip, Pottenger and Scribner,
The_minute_s_of our regular meeting "held September S.
'1936 were, read and approved. • _
Chief of Police McLaughlin reported $124.00 collected in
` fines during the month_of August, 1936. `
The following ordinance authorizing the Village Collector
of the Village -of Deerfield to 'withdraw from collection in de-
fault of.bidders_at,the annual tax sale any and all special
assessments or..installments thereof levied on property subject
to `sale. was read. _.

Section 1. That the Village Collector of
the Village of Deerfield, Lake County. Illy
nois, be and she is hereby authorized and
directed to attend and to withdraw from
collection at the annual tax sale of delin-
quent lands held in the said. Lake County,
Illinoia,.in the year 1936, any and all special
assessments or installments ": thereof levied
• by the said Village of Deerfield on any lot, '
tract or parcel of land or property which shall
be offered for sale to enforce the collection
thereof and which shall not be sold at such
sale on account of the want, lack, absence or
default of bidders. The said Village Collector
of the Vi1L:ge of Deerfield is now author - `
ized and directed to withdraw from collec-
tion any and all special assessments or in-
stailmenti thereof,: levied by the said Vil-
Inge of Deerfield on any lot, tract. or parcel
of land or property offered for sale to en-
force the collection thereof it the 1936
annual tax sale of delinquent lands in said
county and which shall not have been sold
at such sale in default of bidders. Such
withdrawal from collection shall not oiler- '
Pte to concel the asse-ament or impair the
lien of the municipality and the same shall i
" be and remain delinquent and payable with _
all fees, costs, penalties, .interest, and
charges that have accrued thereon and such
lot or parcel of land or property may be j
re- advertised and •resold at any subsequent
tax sale for such delinquent special assess-
ments or installments • thereof.
Section 2., This ordinance shall be in full,..
It was'moved by Trustee Palmer and seconded by Trustee
Peterson that the ordinance be passed as read.
Upon roll call the following vote_wa,s taken. Yeas-
,Trustee Palmer,-Peterson, Willman and the President Wing.
Nays-"None. Motion carried.
As Erwin Seago has moved from Deerfield the clerk was
instructed to-write him, requesting his resignation as a
member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The Auditors Report showed the books of the Village
_Collector and the Village Treasurer to be in balance.
following bills were read and it was moved by Trus-
tee Palmer and seconded by Trudtee Peterson that these bills
be paid on the receipt of proper funds and on the approval of
the various committee chairmen.. '
Roll call - resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Palmer,
ieteison,'Willman and President Wing. Nays- None. Motion
carried.
