A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield was called to order by the Clerk at 7:30 P. M. with
the following trustees answering to roll call -: Trustee McKillip,
Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger, Scribner and Willman. Absent- None.
The President Harry E. Wing being absent it was moved by
Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee .Tillman that Trustee
- Scri-bner act as Chairman pro tem.
Roll call resulted as follows- Yeas- Trustee McKillip, Palmer,
Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None. Motion carried.
The minutes of our regular meeting held "pril 14, 1936 and
the special meeting held-April 25, 1936 were read and approved.
The Auditor's report was read by the Clerk and it was moved
by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Pottenger that the

report be accepted as read.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken -: Yeas- All.
Nays- None. Motion carried.
The Chairman of the License Committee reported V21.00 collected
to date for dog license tags and that there was still outstanding
about 082.00 for 1936 Vehicle licenses.
It was moved by Trustee Millman and seconded bit Trustee
Pottenger that.a resolution be drawn requesting monies from the
Motor Fuel Tax Fund for the tarring of cracks in the concrete pave-
ment on Arterial Streets in the Village of Deerfield.
Roll call resulted as follows -: Yeas- Trustee McKillip,
Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None. Jilotion
carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Tillman and seconded by Trustee
McKillip that a resolution be drawn for the Maintenance of Broadmoor
Place, from Greenwood Ave. to Hazel Ave. and Greenwood Ave. from
�taukegan Road (Lincoln. Ave.) to C. M. St. P & P. R. R. tracks, out.
of funds in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund.
Those voting "Aye" being Trustee McKillip, Palmer, Peterson,
Pottenger and Willman. Those voting "Nay" being None. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Trustee McKillip and seconded by Trustee
Willman that the Chief of Police McLaughlin inform those property
owners on whose property there are signs or shrubbery which is
obstructing the view of motorists approaching Waukegan Road at its

intersection with Osterman `'ve. to remove same within 10 days or
it will be done by the Village at their expense.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken -: Yeas- Trustee
McKillip, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Nays- NoT)e.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Palmer and seconded by Trustee
Tillman that we have a "clean -up "during the week beginning May 18,
1936.
Roll call resulted as follows ": Yeas- All. Nays -None. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee
McKillip that an ordinance amending the Mater Ordinance be drawn
providing for a sliding scale as follows -:

Upon roll call the following; vote was taken -: Yeas- Trustee

Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Palmer and seconded by Trustee
McKillip that the Chief of Police McLaghlin be instructed to dis-
pose of any dogs running at large in the village.
Roll call resulted as follows -: Yeas- All. Nays - None. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee
Millman that the resolution requesting a permit to tunnel under the
pavement on State Aid Route 11, Sec. 34W-2 approximately 100 feet
west of the west line of Forest Avenue to repair leak in watermain
be passed.
Roll call tesulted as follows- Yeas - All. Nays- None, Motion
carried.
A resolution requesting a permit from the Department of '
Public Works and Buildings to cut pavement on SBI Rte 42A- Sec
A.Y. at intersection of said highway with the following 'streets -
Fair Oaks Avenue, "Testgate Road, Hazel Avenue, Osterman Avenue
and Central'Avenue for the purpose of replacing the existing
buffalo boxes with valve vaults in accordance with the plan
attached hereto, was read and it was moved by Trustee Pottenger
and seconded by Trustee 71illman to pass the 'resolution:as read.
Roll call resulted as follows -: Yeas- Trustee McKillip,
Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman.. Nays- None. Motion
carried. '
It was moved by ---c- Trustee Pottenger and seconded by
Trustee McKillip that the resolution authorizing the Deerfield
State Bank to be continued as the- ale osi tory for the funds of the
Village Treasurer, George J. Page,be adopted.
Roll call resulted as follows- Yeas- All.- Nays- None.
Motion carried.
