02/04/1935February 4, 1935. 1.75 A regular meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees ofothe Village of Deerfield was called to -order by the President Harry T. Clavey at.8:30 P. M. with the following trustees present Page,. Pot,tenger, Scribner, Willman and Wing. Absent- Trustee_ ' Peterson. The minutes of our regular meeting held January 7, 1935 and and the,;adjourned meeting helct,January 14, 1935 were read and approved.; The- ,Chairman of the Public.Works Committee stated that he y had: -the- West Side Septic Tank partly pumped- out ' and that with ._.:another .days pumping this job would .be completed.* The . East Side .s.. Septic•TanX is also to be taken care of. The.building of a field -� house is contemplated as it is apparent that enough funds are available from various _organizations in the village. The improvement of'Greenwood Avenue under,the motor fuel tax law.,was explained to the board by Mr. James Anderson of James Anderson Company, Inc. Before a traffic bound surface improvement can.be constructed it will be necessary, to have ,a complete water drainage systeUi t was moved by Trustee Page and seconded by. It was moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Willman that we start a clean up program beginning Monday, Feb - ruary 11, 1935.- Roll call resulted as follows;,-'Yeas- Ally Nays- None. Carried. Trustee Scribner, chairman of the Water Committee reported billing for January amounted to $983.74 of which $746.72 had been collected.to date. There.was also $5.00 collected on 1933 and ,$146; 40 on 1934 accounts.: A letter from the Dorcas Home informing the board that they could pay the tenth installment on the Brierhill Paving Assessment provided that the.nineth installment with interest be cancelled was read." The clerk was instructed to write the -Dorcas Home explaining to them that the board had no right to cancel -any part of an assessment after the same had'been- confirmed by the County Court.
