A letter from Dan Hunt; •Chairma.n 'of the Special Park- Project Committee of Deerfield Poet #738 was read relative to co- operating with them in an effort to make an actual park out of. the - property .Known as- Jewett Park. The President appointed Trustees Pottenger, Peterson and Page ,to-act as a committee to maet with their , oom - mittee. A communication from Mr. C. J. McGregor calling the Board's attention.to the continuous whistling of trains passing through ' ' our village and requesting that some action be taken.to -have this nuisance stopped was read. This letter was referred to our Cor- poration.Counsel requesting that he ascertain the proper action to be taken. Moved by Trustee Wing and seconded by Trustee Willman that our Corporation Counsel McGaughey communicate with the Division of Highways at Elgin, stating our position in the matter of r changing our system of automobile parking in the business district ry on Waukegan Road. Johnston Davis. The following are the balances on hand as of Dec. 3 -1934 in the various funds: - Road and Bridge- $3.51, General-.$i94.66, Water- $1005.53 as per report made by Trustee Wing, Chairman of the Finance Committee. Trustee Scribner, Chairman of the,Water Committee reported a 22.11% loss or difference between Customer Billing and the- Master Meter reading as of Nov. 3, 1934. He also'stated that collections on old accounts amounted to.$134.38. A leak was also located -and x x repaired on Rosemary Terrace with an estimated daily loss•of 6000 gallons. .'.
