07/02/1934< 153 July A regular,meeting of the President and the Board of Trus teec of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Harry,T. Clavey at 8:00 P. H. Roll call;- Present- Page, Peterson, Pottenger, Scribner, Gillman and, Wing. Absent- None. The minutes of the regular meeting held June 4, 1934 and of the special.meeting held June 7, 1934 were read and ap- proved. Reports. , Finance Committee- No report. Health anti Public Relations Committee.- No report. Judiciary,Committee.- No report. License.Opmmittee.- The Ohairma.n Trustee Peterson reported requests that.the ordinance regulating the sale of alcoholic liquors in the.Village of Deerfield be changed to allow taverns o be open for.business on Sundays between the hours of 1 P. ?F. � L d midnight. It was moved by Trustee Wing and seconded by Trustee P ttenger,that: our ordinance regulating the sale of alcoholic liquors be changed to permit places of business operating; under Class D Licensee,to be open between the hours of 1 P. H. and 12:04 Midnight on Sundays.and also that the.rramber of.Clase D Licenses to be issued inane year be limited.to three instead of. five._ .` -pon roll call the following vote was taken- Yeas- Page, Peterson, Pottenger, Scribner, Stillman and ?'Ping. Nays- None. Carried.— Trustee Peterson also reported that to.date appFouimately $1500.00 had been collected for Vehicle Licenses. ,Auditing and Printirp Committee.- No report. Public Works Committee. Trustee Pottenger, , Chairman re- ported that in McGuire and Orr's Subdivision 65 new glasses on sides and-tops of street lights had been replaced and also 10 complete lights which were so badly damaged that they could not be replaced with glass. The lamps in Westgate Road being a different size will be repaired later. The pollution of the streams at our septic tanks was dis- cussed and a motion made by Trustee Wing and seconded by Trustee.19illman that an amount up to $25.00 be cpent in order to make changes as suggested by Trustee Pottenger and that the septic tanks be cleaned whenever t.e tests show it to be necessary. Upon roll call the following vote was taken- Yeas- Page, Peterson, Pottenger, Scribner, Stillman and Sling. Nays - None Carried. Trustee Pottenger °also reported that the petition for gas gains in Deerfield Acres has been referred to the North Shoreo. but to date they have not reported back to him. Road and Bridge Committee.- Trustee Willman, Chairman reported that the ruts in the different.streets had been taken care of and the sidewalk on Deerfield Avenue, west of the viaduct has been repaired. Water Committee. - Trustee Scribner, Chairman gave a finan- cial report showing that $228.95 was collected during Mayon 1933 outstanding accounts. The total still outstanding for 1933 is $68~.20 and for 1934= $476.54 or a total of $1158.74. Building Commisioner A. J. Johnson reported one permit for a $15,000.00 residence and five for repairs and smaller buidings were issued in June. The following bills were read:- Zion Office Supply Co.
