Trustee Stanger made a motion that the resolution author-
izing special assessment foreclosure of the Raymond T. and
Frederick H. Meyer properties be adopted. This motion was
seconded by Trustee Mercurio.
-.Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Cazel, Her
curio, Scott and Stanger. Nays- None. Motion• carried.
It was moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee.
Stanger that on the recommendation of Building Commissioner
Gooder, a. building permit be issued to Carl Olson on the payment
of the proper fee.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas - Trustee
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Nays- None. Motion carried.
No further business appearing,- it•was moved, seconded and
carried to adjourn.

The regular meeting 'of the President and Board of Trustees'
of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by'the President
Victor E. Carlson at 8 P. M.
Roll call- Present- Trustee Benz- Cazel, Mercurio, Scott,
Stanger and Tennis. Absent- ,None.
The minutes of the meeting held February 13, 1945 were
read and approved.
The report of the planning -and Zoning Commission recom-
mending that the application from Westfield Homes, Inc. to
subdivide property adjacent to the Brierhill Subdivision and
the Briergate Country Club be denied, was read and a motion
was then made by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee Stanger
twat' this report be approved.
Roll call: resulted as,folloWs. Yeas--Trustee Benz, Cazel, '
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by
Trustee Cazel that the resolution as submitted by the.Deerfield
Chamber of Commerce be tabled and action be taken thereon when
the new Board of Trustees takes office in May.
Upon roll call the following; vote was taken. Yeas -
Trustee Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays-
None.' Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee
Mercurio that John Benz as chairman of the Water Committee be
authorized to make adjustments on the water bills of Mendell
Goodpasture and the Holy Cross Church.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Benz,
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis,. 2Tays -- None.
Motion carried.

payment on the receipt of proper funds.

RESOLUTION
Relative to general election to be held in the Village
of'Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, on the third,Tuesday of
April, ..1945:
WHFRFAS,-the Pre.sident and Board ofTrustees of the
Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois did on the 13th day
of February, 1945, adopt an ordinance providing for the submis-
sonto the electors-of the said Village a'proposition to author-
iiie.an increase each year during a five-year period in the rate
of tax which may be.levied by said Village for general corporate
purposes, and
WHEREAS, before said ordinance becomes effective same
must be submitted to the voters of said Village and be approved
by a majority of the voters voting upon the question at the
electiorl on' the third Tuesday of April, 1945, and
WHEREAS, an election will be held for.one (1) President,
-three (3) Village Trustees, and one (1) Village Clerk on the
...third Tuesday of April,-19450
NOIY,-THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village .of,Deerfield,
Lake County, Illinois as follows:
SECTION 1: That the above mentioned Ordinance and the
_(l) Villcage President three (3) Village Trustees

and one.(l) Village Clerk be submitted to the voters of the said
Village of Deerfield, Lake 'County, Illinois at the electipn to be
held in said Village on April 17, 1945, being.-the third Tuesday in

SECTION':2: That for the purpose of said election the

A motion was made by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee
Cazel that the following resolution relative to special assessments
on Lot 7, Block 6, Evergreen Place Subdivision be adopted as read.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas— Trustee Benz, Cazel,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger abd Tennis. Nays— None. Motion carried.
RESOLVED, that inasmuch as there were clerical errors {
in the spreading of assessments under Warrant 25 on Lot 71;
Evergreen Place Subdivision in the Village of Deerfield, the
facts of which did not become apparent to the Village and the j
property owner, who is Elmer L. Clavey, and inasmuch as for many
years it has been assumed that all special assessments on this
lot have been paid in full, that the action and steps taken by
the Village Collector to collect the remaining principal of the
special assessments under said Warrant 25 and to waive interest,
penalties and costs on the same are hereby approved.
It was moved by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Stanger
that the resolutions requesting permission to tunnel under Rte S.A.
11 Sec. Z at the West Drainage Ditch be passed.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas— Trustee
Benz,.Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and'Tennis. Nays— None.
Motion carried.
