Homer Cazel, Chairman pro tem appointed Mayor Carlson and
Trustee Mercurio to act as a committee to contact officials of
the Milwaukee Road with reference` -to furnishing more parking
space at their station.
Trustee -Benz made a motion that the resolution to special
assessments on Lot in "Block 2 in the Original Town of Deerfield
be returned to Bradley,.8eago &Vetter with the request that
a per tentage gauranteed bid be s}ibmitted with the'resolution.
This motion was seconded by Trustee ,Mercurio.
Roll-call resulted as follows- Yeas- Trustee Benz,
Mercurio Scott, 'Stanger and Tennis.''Nays- -None. Motion
carried.

A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by
Trustee Tennis that the bill from Peter Baker & gon Co. for.
surfacing Routes 1- 2 -3 -10 and .13 be approved for payments'
from Motor Friel Tax funds.

The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village.of Deerfield was called to order at 8 P. M. with
the following trustees,respondin5 to`the roll call:.Benz ; ... Cazel,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Absent- None.
'In the absence of The President Victor E. Carlson, a motion
was made, seconded and carried that Trustee Cazel act as chairman
pro tem.
The minutes of the meeting held on December 14', 1944 were
read and.approved.
The following bills were read'and a motion was made by
Trustee Stanger and duly seconded by Trustee Benz that these
bills be paid if, as, and when funds are available.

WHEREAS, tie Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company

Dollars ($5,000.00) on behalf of Charles J. Turner as Village
Treasurer of.the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, and
7AEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Deerfield,
Illinois that said bond be increased in penalty__from Five
Thousand and no /100 ($5.000.00) Dollars to Ten Thousand and
No /100 ($10.000.00) Dollars effective ac of January 15, 1945.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that Hartford Accident
and Indemnity,Company's Bond No. 1693076 executed in behalf.of
Charles J. Turner.as-Treasurer of the Village of Deerfield,
Illinois, is increased to the penalty of $10.000.00 as of the
15th day of January, 1945.
Acting on the recommendation of Auditor Albert,L. Roderick
a motion was made by Trustee Tennis and seconded by Trustee
Stanger that the sbave - resolution increasing the Village Treasurer's
Bond in penalty from $5.000.00 to $10,000.00, be adopted.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Benz,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger -and. Tennis. Nays- None. Motion carried.
The following resolution was read and on motion by
Trustee Tennis and seconded by'Trustee Benz to adopt this
resolution subject to a gaurantee by Mr. and Mrs. James Gannon
to bid not lgssl- than 40Io of .the principal of the unpaid special
assessments on said lot. :.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. -Yeas -
Trustee Benz, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None.

WHEREAS, certain installments of certain special
assessments which have been levied against the following described
property are unpaid:

accordance with the statutes �of-the State of Illinois in such
case made and provided.

is on the condition that the Village of Deerfield shall be held
harmless from and shall not be required to pay any costs, fees,
or charges in connection with such foreclosure proceedings.
