12/14/1944December 14, 1944. The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees 4 of the ;riliage of Deerfield was called to order at 8 P. M. with-- the following trustees responding to the roll call; Benz, Cazel, aterc_urio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Absent— None. In the absence of President Victor E. Carlson, it w6s moved, seconded aiid carried that Trustee Cazel-act as Chairman, pro tem. The minutes of our regular meeting.held Uovember 141 1944 were read and approved. A motion was made by Trustee Benz and seconded by'Trustee -� Stanger that bills for the water consumed on the Lincoln Pettis meter be sent to Robert Pettis. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas— All. Nays- None. Motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee Scott that the water superintendent Johnston be authorized to make the necessary repairs in watermain.at West Skokie Drainage Ditch and Deerfield Raad. Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas— Trustee Benz,., Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- 2Tone. Motion carried. A motion was made by Scott Trustee S o ' c and seconded by Trustee Stanger that the report as submitted by Police Magistrate Hunt showing $117.00 in fines collected during the month of November, be received. aq Motion ubanimously carried. Co. regarding toilet facilities and if not remedied then the police department' shall take the necessary steps to have the Elmhurst Mfg.'Co.jith our ordinances. Roll call resulted as follows. Trustee Benz made a motion that we pay Percy McLaughlin an additional $$.00 for operating the snow plow and that a vote of thanks be given to Trustee Cazel for his assistance in clearing the snow from our streets. Trustee Tennis made a motion that theiVillage Collector prepare an itemized etatemeirecprotectionthe District- �destablishing the Deerfield— Bannockburn.F Mayor Carlson be asked to�� present -same to tlie.w•trustees of the fire district for collection and that a report be made at the next meeting. This motion was seconded by Trustee Scott. Roll call resulted as follows, Yeas— Trustee Benz, mercuric, Scott, Stanger and Tennis *' 'Nays None. Motion carried. Motion made by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee Stanger that rents, salaries and anY 'other regular bills be included with the bills as presented at eacli' monthly meeting of the Board.
