The regular meeting of the President and Board of Truatees of
the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President,Victor.
E.Carlson at 7:50 P.M.
Boll call+ Present- Trustee Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger
and Tennis, Absent- None.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on December 14, 1943
were read and approved.

It was moved by, Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee Cazel
that bill& be paid, if,as,and when funds are available.
Roll call resulted as follows: Yeaa- Trustee Benz, Cazel,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays - None. Motion carried.
Trustee Cazel reported that the Kordick Electric Company of
,Tinnetka will make a half day test-on the Ornamental Light System
In the business district to asertain if possible what is causing
the shorts on certain 'lights. '
It was moved by Trustee Scott and seconded by Trustee Stanger
that Police Magistrate Hunt's report showing $5.00 collected in fines
during the month of December, be received.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas- All; Nays
None. Motion carried.
A motion was made by_ Trustee Scott and duly seconded by Trustee
Cazel authorizing the purchase of a battery for, .the squad car.
Upon roll call the following dote wes taken; Yeas- Trustee
Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger, and Tennis; Nays- None.
Motion carried.
A letter from Corporation Counsel Erwin Seago was read,atating
that the check in the amount of 3 150.00 for ordinance revision
had-been received, and that $50.00 had been sent to Mr. Milton
Olson and another $50.00 to Mr. Tom Matthewa of the Illinois
Municipal League.
The following, persnns were appointed by, President Victor B. A
Carlson to serve as a committee on Tax and Special Assessment
Delinquency; Trustee Mercurio, Stanger and Tennis and Building
Commissioner Seth Gooder, with Trustee Mercurio acting as
chairman.
