08/16/1943a • • August 16.1943. , The regular meeting of the President and Board,of Trustees 46f the Village of Deerfield was called to order by•the President, Victor E. Carlson at 8 :15 P.M. with the following trustees re- sponding to the roll call: Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott,and Stanger. Absent- Tennis. The minutes of the regular meeting held July 15,1943 and of the special meeting held August 5,1943 were read and approved. ' It was moved by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee Stanger ..that the board takeSnotice that the ordinance in relation to dogs is somewhat vague,it is hereby understood that all dogs must be licensed regardless of age. Roll call resulted as follows;Yeas- Trustees Benz,Cazel, Uercuric, Scott and Stanger. NaJ5s- None. Motion carried. Trustee Mercurio made a�motion that a five -day notice of ,warning be given on any alleged violation of the Dod ordinance and that any necessary - subsequent summons be served by the police department. This motion was seconded by .Trustee Benz. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustees Benz, Cazel,. Mercilrio, Scott and Stanger.Those Voting "Nay" -none. A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Stanger that the repobt of Police Magistrate Hunt for the month of July, showing 99.99 in fines collected, be accepted. Upon roll call, the following vote was taken: Yeas- All. Nays- None. 3M.otion carried. + It was moved by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee Cazel that we order the same nixuber of license tags for 1944 as were ordered for 1943 except that they be- furnished with a greenback ground and that the price be the same as the previous year. Roll call- Yeas- Trustees Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Nays- None. Motion carried. 7L L /NO /S Trustee Mercurio made a motion that a copy of the 1943 Rtivised Statutes be purchased. This motion was seconded.by Trustee Cazel. .Roll call resulted as follows; Yeas- Trustees Benz, Cazel, ?dercurio, Seott.and Stanger. Nays- None. Lotion carried. The following bills were read and a motion, made by Trustee Stanger, and seconded by Trustee Mercurio that these bills be paid on recelpi -of proper funds.
