December 14, 1943.
A regular meeting of the President and the Board of- Trustees,
of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President
Victor E. Carlson at 8 P. M. with the following trustees respond-
ing to the roll call-; Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and
Tennis. Absent - None.
The following bills were read and a motion made by Trustee
Stanger and seconded by Trustee Benz that these bills be paid on
receipt of the proper funds. .0
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those
voting "Nay" being None.

It was moved by Trustee Scott and seconded by Trustee
Stanger that the report as submitted by the Police Magistrate
showing $30.00 in fines collected during the month of November,
1943 be received.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- All. Nzys- None.
Motion carried.
A• motion was made by Trustee Yrrcurio that the Treasurer 'a
be instructed to issue a check in the amount of $120.00 in favor.
of the Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department in full settlement of
all claims in connection with C'ertain controversy over percentage
to be received from the 1942 Summer Festival. This motion was
seconded by Trustee Benz.
Upon roll call.the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee
Benz, Cazel, Ylercurlo, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None.
Motion carried.:
A motion was made by Trustee Stanger and seconded by
Trustee Benz that the Police Department and Collector's office
keep a record of all long distance calls made over Deerfield 321
and Deerfield �.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Betz, Cazel,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis- "aye- *'onc. ' "o ±'_ ^ ^.
} Moved by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Stanger that th
the applications and resolutions for Highway Permit to tunnel
under certain portions of Waukegan Road and in Deerfield Road
for repairs on catch basin and watermains, be adopted.

Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those voting
"Nay" being None.
