04/13/1943176 April 13, 1943. The regular meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was. called to order by the President, Victor E. Carlson at 7 :30 P.M. with the fallowing trustees respond - ing to roll -call =--Benz, Cazel, Scott, and Stanger. Abseht -. Crush. The minutes of the meetings held March 9, 1943 and Uarch 18, 1943 were read and approved. The following bills were read and it was moved by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee Cazel that these bills be approved for payment, if,, as and when funds are available. Trustee Cazel reported that the work on the :Pest Side Septic Tank is being completed. The railing at the railroad viaduct has been repaired, and bills have been sent to those responsible for the da nage. It was moved by Trustee Stangerand seconded by Trustee Benz that the Village of Deerfield contribute "j 50.00ttoward the Skating Rink deficit. Upon roll -call the following vote was taken: Yeas- Trustees Bebz,, Cazel, Scott and Stanger. Nays -none. Notion carried. The'-arrival of Trustee Mercurio was noted on the. records. Trustee Cazel announced the dates for the various sections during clean -up week as follows:- April 27th,that section lying south of Deerfield Road and east of Waukegan Road; April 28th, north of Deerfield Road. and east of Waukegan Road; April 29th, south of Deerfield Road and west of Waukegan Road; April 30th,_ north of Deerfield Road and west of Waukegan Road;(Except Wood- land Park) May 1st, Woodland Park. Trustee Benz made: a motion that applications for liquor licenses be accepted on the payment of half the annual fee on May is t, 19439 tha balance to be paid July lst91948. This motion was seconded by Trustee Stanger. Motion unanimousely carried. Voting "Aye ", were Trustees Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. "Nay ", none. It was moved by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee Stanger that William Johnston be instructed to omit reading the water meters on May 1st, and estimated bills be sent to water users. In June, July, August,and September readings shall be taken, and during the winter and spring months readings shall be taken every other month, and estimated bills be sent during the months when meters -are nQt read.Roll -call resulted as follows; Yeas, Trustees Benz, Cazel, Mercurio,.
