02/06/1943170 It was moved by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee' Mercurio that the Treasurer issue a check in the amount of $8.50 in full settlement of claim for services as Judge in the matter of Village of Deerfield Vs- Harry T. Clavey.' Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Benz, Oazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Those voting "Nay" being None. Trustee Scott read the report as submitted by Police Magistrate Hunt, which showed that no fines were collected during the month Qf December 1942 and it was moved by Trustee Scott and seconded by Trustee 6tanger that this report be received. A regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Victor E. Carlson at 3 P. M. with the following Trustees responding to the roll call; Benz, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Absent - Trustee Oazel and Crush. , The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was deferred to the next regular meeting. A motion was made by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee Scott that a letter be written to the Illinois -Bell Telephone Co. advising them that we are of the opinion that sewer pipe has been broken in the erection of a pole on the-North side of,Greenwood Avenue and the East line of the 0. M. Willman property and after the frost has left the ground, an inspection will be made and if our opinion is verified, we will expect the Illinois -Bell Telephone to repair the damage. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Benz, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Nays- None. Motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Scott and seconded b Trustee Stanger that the report of Police Magistrate Hunt showing 111.00 in fines collected during the month of January, be received.
