Trustee Scott, Chairman of the Police Committee gave the
report as submitted by Police istrate Dan Hunt
,showing $33.00 in fines collected for the month of October, 1942.
A motion was made by Trustee Scott and seconded by Trustee Cazel
that this report be accepted.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yee.s- All. Nays- 23one.
Motion catried.
It was moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Benz
-that the resolution authorizing the sale of the Fire Equipment
to the Deerfield - Bannockburn Fire Protection District as submitted
and recorm ended by Village Attorney Olson as to form, be approved.
Upon roll call the following vote -vias taken. Yeas- Trustee
Benz, Cazel, -Mercurio,- Scott and Stanger. - Nays- None. :lotion

the Police Cor:,nittee to-replace-Trustee-Crush.

Trustee Stanger maade a motion that Trustee 11,11ercurio and
Trustee Benz be appointed as members -of the Scavenger and Service
Committee with Trustee Mercurio acting as Chairman. This motion
was seconded,by Trustee Camel.

A :notion was made by Trustee Scott and seconded by Trustee
3 Stanger that we recomcend the appointment of Sewell Bartlett and
Kenneth F. Towler as members of the Rationing Board to serve as a.
Special Committee to,pass on all applications for gas or fuel oil
and report back to the full rationing board for final action.

The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Victor
E. Carlson at 7:30 P. M.
Roll call - Present -'Trustee Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and
Stanger. Absent - Trustee Crush. '
The- minutes of the regular meeting held November 10, 1942
were read and approved.
A report from the Auditor Albert L. Roderick was submitted-and
on motion by Trustee. Benz and a seoonde.by Trustee Mercurio the same was
unanimously acceptedv and placed on file.
A motion was made by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee Stanger
that the policy, covering the pump house be changed to read $1000.00
to cover the building and $250.00 on the contents consisting principally
of supplies, fittings and materials used in oonnection with the
business of the Village of Deerfield.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - `Trustee Benz, Cazel,
Merourio, Scott and Stanger. Nays - :None. Motion carried.

The following bills were read by Trustee Stanger, Chatrman
of*the Finance Committee and it was moved by Trustee Stanger and,
duly seconded by Trustee Mercurio that with the exception of
bill from Hanover Insurance Co. these bills be approved for
payment if, as and when proper funds are.available.

Police Magistrate Hunt's report as submitted showed that
6153.00 in finds were collected during the month of November,
194a , It was regularly moves, seconded and carried to receive
the Police Magistrate's report.
A .emotion was made by Trustee Stanger and seconded by
Trustee Mercurio that that;part.:of the resolution as adopted
September 57, 1941 requiring that future driveways be built
within the- pPepeAy the.property lines, be rescinded_

Trustee Mercurio made a motion that the amount of $32.00
in payment of Building permit be refunded to the Trustees of
St. Paul's Evangelical Church. Motion seconded by Trustee
Stanger. Trustee

As suggested in a letter from the Deerfield Grammar School
Student Council, a representative from the Holy Cross Parochial
School will be asked to sit in with representatives from the
Deerfield and Wilmot Grammar schools and-the Village Board in the
drawing up of an ordinance for the regulation of bicycle riding in
the Village of Deerfield.
It was moved by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee

Benz that the resolution adopted May 13, , designating
Deerfield State Bank and the First National Ban1_ of Chicago as
the depositories of the funds of Charles J. Turner, Village
Treasurer, be amended to read, The Deerfield State Bank, The
First National Bank of Chicago, The Continental- Illinois National
Bank and Trust -Oo. of Chicago and the Northern �Trust Co. of
Chicago.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
'Trustee Benz, Oazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Those voting
"Nay" being None.
