Victor E. Carlson Afo "the purpose of passing the Appropriation
Ordinance for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1942 and ending
April 30, 1943 and any other matters which may be presented to
the Village Board for their consideration.

Service relative to the.sounding of whistles on non -stop mail
trains was read and it was moved by Trustee Stanger and seconded
by Trustee Scott that we notify Postmaster.rlelch that permission
is granted by the Village Board to the St. Paul Railway Co. to
sound whistles on non -stop mail trains as a signal for the
receiving and discharging of mail at Deerfield. 40

It was moved by Trustee Benz and seconded by Trustee
Mercurio that an adjustment be made on bill for water consumed
'(due to a leak) at 742 Central Ave. for the period from Mayl,
1942 to June 1, 1942 as follows:- 800 cu. ft. at 32¢ per 180
cu. ft. or ;2.56 and the balance of 3600 cu. ft. at 18g per,
100 cu. ft. or 16.48 making a total of 49.04 provided same is
paid on or before June 22, 1942.
