Trustee Stanger made a motion that 0& Building Permits be
issued during the emergency to those who comply with the FHA
requirements. This motion was seconded by_Trustee Mercurio.
Roll call resulted as.foXlows. Yeas- Trustee Benz, Cazel,.
Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Nay-s— None. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee
Benz that Mr. Ezra Fritsch be notified that the barn located on
his property. at 819 Hazel Ave. has been condemned by the
Building Commissioner as unsafe and that -this building must be
repaired or (Xorn down mmediately.

The regular meeting of'the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of-Deerfield was called to order by the President
Victor E. Carlson at 8 P. M. with the following trustees respond-
ing to the roll call, Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger.
` Absent- Trustee Crush.
The minutes -of the meeting held May 16, 194 2 and May'22,
1942 were read and approved.
Trustde Scott read the report as submitted by Police
Magistrate Hunt and made a motion which was seconded by Trustee
Mercurio that this report be.received.
There were three arrests made during the month of May.and
$23.00 in fines collected.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yea- A11,
Nays- None. Motion-carried. '
The Auditor's report for the 'period from April 21, 1941
to April 20, 1942 was presented by Trustee Benz, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee.' It was moved by Trustee Benz that this
report be received. Motion seconded by Trustee Stanger.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- All. Nays- None.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by 'Trustee Mercurio and seconded by
Trustee Scott that.the bill in the amount of $2.25 for gasoline
for the fire truck be turned over to the Deerfield- Bannookburn
Fire Protection District for payment.

A letter from the President I{atharine A. Reynolds of7the
Dorcas Home was read 'which referred to Water Moccasins and also
WPIA stagnant water in the vicinity of the home.
It =was moved-by Trustee. Mercurio -and duly seconded by
Trustee Benz that this matter be tabled to -the next meeting.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas -- All. Nays- None.
Motion carried..
> Mr. Robert A. Ramsey stated that Meadow Brook Lane was in
bad condition and needed a culvert to take care of the storm
water. A motion was -made by Trustee Stanger and seconded by
Trustee Mercurio that the Clerk -endeavor -to find out if Meadow
.Brook Lane is a public or a private road.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas
Trustee Benz,•Cazel., Mercurio, Scott and Stanger.< Nays- None.
