The regular meeting of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the
President Victor E. Carlson at 4 P. M.
Roll call- Present- Trustee Benz, Cazel; Mercurio, Scott,
and Stanger. Absent- Trustee Crush.
The minutes of our regular meeting held March 10, 1942
were read and approved.
It was moved by`Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee
Stanger that the Triler Ordinance be tabled and referred to the
Health Officer Dr. C. Johnston Davis, Building Commissioner
Gooder, Police Committee Chairman Scott and Village Attorney
Olson.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas -
Trustee Benz, Cazel, 1ercurio, Scott and*Stanger. `Nays— None.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by
Trustee Benz and unanimously c -ryrie that the lease covering
,the fire station be declared and that Chester W6ssling,
Village Clerk be-authorized and directed to notify the Deer-
field Temple Association that the Village of Deerfield here -by
cancels its lease with the Deerfield Temple Association for
the premises covering the fire station as of July 1, 1942
in accordance with the terms of said lease.
Motion made by,Trustee Stanger to authorize Trustee
Scott to negotiate for the purchase of two police uniforms.
'This motion was seconded by Trustee Mercurio.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Benz,
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger: Nays- None. Motion
carried.
The report as submitted by Police Magistrate
Hunt was
read and it was :roved by Trustee Scott, seconded by
Trustee
Mercurio and unanimously carried to accept the report.
Trustee Benz moved that the bill submitted by
Trustee
Mercurio for services rendered in creating the fire
district
be approved for payment. Motion seconded by Trustee
Scott.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye"
being
