requestin permission to tunnel under the pavement on State Aid
Route 11 Deerfield Road) at two locations to .construct water
hydrants was read and a motion made by Trustee Cazel and duly
seconded by Trustee Stanger that this resolution be passed.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Those voting
"Nay" being None.
It was moved by Trustee Cazel and duly seconded by Trustee
Stanger that the appointment of-Anthony J. Mercurio, George T.
Scott, John A. Benz, Erwin Seago and Milton Olson as a com-
mittee for the codifying of our village ordinances be approved
by the village board.
Roll call resulted as'follows. Yeas- All. Nays- None.
Motion carried.
The-President Victor E.�Carlson appointed William D.
Johnston to act as a Centralized Purchasing Agent for all
purchases except those of a competitive natures

Centralized Purchasing Agent be confirmed. Motion unani-
mously carried.
Fire Chief Uchtman stated that at the present time we
have a balance of $1300.00 in the.fire truck fund. The firemen's
dance netted approximately 6 2250 000

A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of-Deerfield was called to order by the President
Victor E. Carlson for the purpose of discussing the purchase of
a new squad car.
Trustees present were, Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and
Stanger. Absent- Trustee Crush.
It was moved by Trustee - 'Scott and seconded by Trustee Benz
that the Clerk be instructed to advertise for Trade -in and bids
for a new squad car for the Police Department.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Benz, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Those voting
"Nays being*NAne.
